Steve has over 30 years experience working in the UK foodservice market. Having held senior management positions in Booker Foodservice in the late 90s, he advanced up the management ranks in 3663 to Regional Director for the Midlands region (a Divisional Board level post) up until 2009. During this time he ran the sales and operations divisions with full P & L responsibility for over £230m of sales, the management of 800+ colleagues, the management of all multimillion-pound new build projects and new business mobilisation of large clients such as Merlin and TGI Fridays.

During Steve’s time at 3663 he won the FWD Gold Medal for the ‘Best Delivered Depot Manager in Great Britain’ (2003), won Bidvest Europe’s Chairman’s award in 2006 for his contribution to the on going success of 3663 UK. He also won the British Quality Foundation Award for people management for his Birmingham depot.

One of his pinnacle achievements was winning the prestigious ‘Midlands Excellence Award’ for top businesses in 2006 awarded by Martin Johnson CBE in front of 1,300 business leaders at ICC Birmingham.

Before joining Beacon in 2018, Steve was CEO at Midland Food Group Ltd. which he took from £40M to £63M in five years. This award winning business saw success at the British Pie Awards in 2015 and 2016, won the ‘Best Chilled Manufacturer’ in England and Wales in 2016, and won the Confex ‘Green Wholesale’ award. Steve also founded the B2C online business iDeli Online Ltd.
